Clark Contractors, LLC provides design review and support throughout the planning and design process (Conceptual Design, Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documents). Design review and support is interwoven into our pre-construction and construction services, and is an integral part of the services we provide to our clients and the design community.

  • Regular Project Meetings with the Owner & A/E Design Team
  • Pro-Actively Identify Potential Value Engineering & Cost Saving Alternatives
  • Evaluate & Price Potential Value Engineering & Cost Saving Alternatives
  • Review Potential Value Engineering & Cost Saving Alternatives with Owner and Design Team
  • Submit Tracking Log with Status of Potential Value Engineering & Cost Saving Alternatives
  • Update Tracking Log for Potential Value Engineering & Cost Saving Alternatives
  • Evaluate & Advise on Selection of Building Systems, Materials & Equipment
    • Evaluate & Price Alternative Systems
    • Evaluate & Price Alternative Materials, Details and Construction Methods
    • Check Availability and Lead Times of Building Systems, Materials & Equipment
    • Review Systems and Details for Constructability & Economy
  • Identify & Schedule Early Bid Packages for Any Long Lead Delivery Items
  • Evaluate LEED, Green Globes or other “Sustainable Design & Construction” Requirements
    • Work with Owner and Design Team to Establish Sustainable Design & Construction Goals
    • Pro-Actively Pursue Ways to incorporate Sustainable Design & Construction into Project
    • Provide First Cost Information to Owner and Design Team for use in Life Cycle Analysis (Note: Design Team Normally Provides the Life Cycle Analysis)
    • Work with Owner and Design Team to Evaluate First Cost versus Long-Term Benefit
  • Review Design for Constructability, Coordination & Potential Conflicts
  • Review Design for Effective Building Envelope Systems, Materials & Details
  • Review Check Sets during Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents and 2 Weeks Prior to issue of Final Construction Documents.
  • Identify Potential Cost Saving Bid Alternates
  • Requests for Information (RFI) in Bidding Process:
    • Review & Submit Pre-Bid Requests for Information (RFI) or Clarifications to Design Team
    • Design Team to issue Addenda for Any Necessary Clarifications or Additional Information
  • Requests for Information (RFI) during construction to resolve potential issues in timely manner
