The Eureka Springs Hospital Addition and Renovation project includes a 62,000 SF replacement hospital. As a critical access hospital, Eureka Springs Hospital is required to maintain current capacity and ongoing services throughout the project. To meet this requirement, the construction will take place in two phases.
During the first phase, the new hospital will be built around the existing hospital while it remains operational. Once the first phase in completed and a certificate of occupancy is achieved, the original hospital will be demolished to make way for Phase 2. Phase 2 will be constructed on the old hospital’s footprint and connected to Phase 1.
Currently in design, the addition/expansion project will include 15 patient rooms, a surgery department, emergency department, MRI Suite, lab, pharmacy, imaging department, dietary and cafeteria, administration, and sleep clinic. The hospital will be three levels with a helipad on the roof.
The bottom level will be a drive-thru level for the vehicular traffic and will be accessible from the south with a loading dock and all necessary infrastructure. The second level will serve as the main hospital entrance for emergency department drop-off and patient entry. The third level will provide administrative space.
