This project is a shining example of innovation and excellence in educational facility construction. The centerpiece is a three-story, 230,000 SF K-8 school designed to support a vibrant learning environment for 1,484 students, plus faculty and staff. The scope also included the demolition of the existing McClellan High School, and complete site redevelopment and improvements across a 13-acre campus.

The new school features 84 state-of-the-art classrooms, a cafetorium and competition gymnasium with a 1,500-person capacity, a welcoming media center, and specialized spaces such as science labs, music rooms, art rooms, and administrative offices. At the heart of the facility is a volumous library, greeting students and guests as they enter and leading into a thoughtfully designed concourse that connects all major public areas of the school.

Safety and security are paramount in this facility, with features such as a bullet-resistant vestibule, intrusion-resistant glazing, secure check-in areas, and deliberate separation of academic and public spaces. Additionally, the building includes a fully certified FEMA-500 tornado shelter. The school is equipped with both wet and dry-pipe sprinkler systems, offering robust fire protection both inside and outside the building footprint.

The 13-acre site development integrates modern infrastructure, including a new entry drive with a traffic signal, dedicated lanes for parent and bus drop-offs, and ample parking for employees, staff, and visitors. Recreational features include a new artificial turf soccer field with advanced drainage, artificial playgrounds, and a shaded kindergarten playground. A special education sensory garden, complete with play bridges, wood pavers, and sensory-engaging activities, provides a unique space for inclusive learning and play.
