South Yard is an adaptive reuse project that includes commercial, retail, restaurants, and 33,250 SF renovation/adaptive re-use of existing buildings. The complex includes large apartment buildings (Phase I) and a hotel. The exciting mixed-use development is aimed at becoming a basecamp of food, beverage, and retail, and provides a place for the community to connect and explore.
Located on a seven-acre site, the project has a two-phase plan. Clark is general contracting Phase II, which is located at the former Farmers’ Cooperative near the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and South School Avenue.
Improvements and amenities include an outdoor pool and fitness area, pavilion, bike racks, outdoor seating, circulation areas, food truck court, service yard with loading area, and convenient access to the surrounding trail system. Sitework and redevelopment also include new site utilities, fire water, and required parking.
