Southern Methodist University Patterson Hall Restoration

A comprehensive restoration project has revitalized Patterson Hall on the SMU campus, preserving its historic integrity while enhancing functionality. The meticulously executed endeavor focused on restoring the building’s brick and stone elements, using scaffolding to expertly reach intricate areas around the process piping. The project not only involved the careful removal and restoration of the original window openings but also featured the installation of new energy-efficient windows, ensuring modern performance while honoring the past.

Additionally, the northeast corner was completely disassembled and rebuilt with the original bricks, reinforcing structural stability and significantly improving waterproofing. This thoughtful restoration not only safeguards our architectural heritage but also creates a sustainable future for Patterson Hall.
