UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute Third, Sixth, and Seventh Floor Build-Out

The 56,763 SF renovation of the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute’s third, sixth, and seventh floors stands as a significant achievement, undertaken while the facility remained operational as a Level One Trauma Center at UAMS. The construction project was executed with utmost care to ensure that immunocompromised patients, both above and below the construction site, were not exposed to harmful contaminants or vibrations. The use of DIRTT’s modular walls proved instrumental in ensuring this outcome.

As a result of the renovation, the third floor now stands as a state-of-the-art breast care center, boasting cutting-edge facilities such as MRI, CT, radiology, bone marrow biopsy, and anesthesia pain service. The sixth floor is now a contemporary infusion center, featuring both open and private infusion rooms. Lastly, the seventh floor is now home to a multidisciplinary clinic space, physician offices, and exam rooms, all of which contribute to an enhanced patient experience.
